  • Project Kuda

    District

Project Kuda, an initiative by Ek Saath Foundation and BMF F-North ward, aims to transform Kokari Aagar, a slum settlement in Wadala, into a zero waste community. This project addresses the issue of inadequate waste management facilities leading to waste dumping in the nullah, causing environmental and health hazards. By achieving zero waste status, the community can prevent waste from entering landfills and water bodies, significantly reducing plastic pollution in the ocean.

  • Sustaining Paradise

  • Urban forestation

    District

Urban forestation involves planting and maintaining trees and greenery in urban areas, providing benefits like improved air and water quality, reduced heat, and enhanced biodiversity. Despite challenges, cities can prioritize green spaces and infrastructure to create sustainable, healthy environments. EK Saath has collaborated with organisations and corporations to plant over 1000 native trees in different city locations.

  • Eco shiksha

    District

Ek Saath has partnered with three government schools in Bombay to impart environmental education as part of their cirriculum. Till date, over 300 students have benefitted from this program. Environmental themes are incorporated into various subjects like science, social studies, and language arts. Implementing recycling programs, reducing energy consumption, and using eco-friendly products contribute to promoting sustainable practices. Encouraging student-led initiatives, such as eco-clubs, clean-up drives, and research projects, helps students grasp real-world environmental challenges and empowers them to take meaningful action.
