Better air quality conference
Clean Air Asia's biennial Better Air Quality (BAQ) Conference, initiated in 2002, is the most significant air quality event in the region. This prestigious gathering convenes hundreds of policymakers, stakeholders, experts, academics, and industry leaders, fostering a sense of unity and collaboration. The conference serves as a platform for collectively addressing the urgent issue of air pollution. By bringing together diverse voices and perspectives, the BAQ Conference aims to find innovative and effective solutions to improve air quality and create a healthier environment for communities across Asia.

Improve air quality - Project in China
Clean Air Asia has been actively involved in improving air quality management (AQM) and promoting green transport in China since 2002. Promotes science-based AQM in China, establishing the first city AQM network across the country. Through the AQM capacity building program, it offers training, materials, technical guidance, and an online knowledge hub to national and local environmental policymakers and technical staff. Over 150 Chinese cities have benefitted from this initiative. Clean Air Asia has established five regional platforms to strengthen cities' capacity, facilitate learning, and contribute to national policymaking.
In the realm of green transport, it has strived to reduce freight sector emissions since 2008. The initiatives include green freight pilot projects and the China Green Freight Initiative, aimed at raising awareness among policymakers and carriers. -
Improve air quality - Project in India
Since 2008, Clean Air Asia has been actively engaged in India, focusing on air quality management in cities. It works with over 30 cities, providing scientific input and support to develop Clean Air Action Plans (CAAPs) and promoting cleaner air through education and communication. The efforts are concentrated on cities with high impact potential and the ability to influence broader change. Facilitates air quality monitoring, capacity building, and direct interventions for mitigation and solutions. Additionally, the India team established the Clean Air Knowledge Network (CAKN), connecting air quality experts, practitioners, and city officials to share resources, find solutions, and foster partnerships to address air quality challenges.
