Exotic mushroom cultivation
The foundation devised a comprehensive program aimed at training groups in cultivating lucrative exotic mushroom varieties and establishing a buyback mechanism by connecting them with key stakeholders in the mushroom industry.
For the identified groups, a 3-day training course was organised, focusing on cultivating Ganedorma mushrooms. These sessions were conducted for the women of Gahli Panchayat and Loharkad Panchayat within the Nadaun Block. The training was expertly facilitated by professionals from Han Agro, a Dehradun-based Mushroom Company. The curriculum encompassed scientific cultivation techniques, disease management, and efficient harvesting methods.

Scientific dairy farming
In collaboration with the Society for Innovation & Entrepreneurship in Dairying (SINED), the foundation has developed a specialized training curriculum tailored to the prior knowledge, available resources, and climatic conditions of the lower belt of western Himachal. The region faces challenges such as poor crop productivity, limited arable land per capita, ample common property grazing lands, and a lack of diverse income sources. Consequently, dairy animal rearing has become a necessary economic activity. To address this, the foundation focuses on key aspects such as selecting suitable dairy cattle breeds, green silage cultivation techniques, disease management, calf care, and milk processing. Through these measures, the farmers' income is elevated and the overall quality of life has improved.

Workshop about self care
The concept of self-care is revolutionizing healthcare by empowering individuals to play a central role in their own well-being. For women, this shift is particularly significant, granting them the freedom to make decisions about their health that they may not have had before. To facilitate this transition, a self-care workshop was conducted for the women of Jangal Bairi Panchayat in Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh. The workshop encompassed essential elements of self-care, including medication management, self-testing, awareness-building, education, and self-regulation. It aimed to equip women with the knowledge and skills needed to enhance their quality of life through better self-care practices.
Led by a life coach, the session covered a range of topics pertinent to women's self-care, such as maintaining a healthy diet, menstrual hygiene, grooming, and boosting self-confidence. A candid discussion addressed often-taboo subjects like sexual and reproductive health.
