Sanjeevani … Life Beyond Cancer was founded in 2012 by Ruby Ahluwalia, a cancer survivor herself. Sanjeevani, endeavours to motivate and encourage patients to keep a positive outlook towards treatment and life and enrich the lives of cancer survivors in a way that the patient feels more complete after the whole cancer experience and looks at this experience as an opportunity to blossom up in life and not as a catastrophe. Sanjeevani works with patients predominantly from the weaker sections in association with Super Specialty Regional Cancer Hospitals which have been designated as RCCs. All activities by Sanjeevani are provided to patients free of cost. Started in 2012 with one program at one centre in Mumbai, today Sanjeevani helps patients thru its 11 centres spread across 7 states. We intend making all programs available across all RCCs across all states. Sanjeevani has enriched the lives of over 180000 patients since inception.

Sanjeevani's mission is to raise the bar of cancer care in India through a community-building exercise covering the entire patient cycle from prevention to rehabilitation by providing comprehensive care and preparing patients for a sustainable life.

Sanjeevani has grown from 1 program in 1 city to operating in 23 centers across 13 states, with a core team of over 60 caregivers, 30 faculty members, and hundreds of interns and volunteers.
