Arogya World follows a doorstep health model , which takes prevention to people where they live, learn and work . Our focus is scalable, science-ba Read moresed programs to reach a large population. These are deployed in schools, workplaces, and bring information right to people’s phones . Our approach is gaining traction, and working! We have reached 7.5 million people so far, and our goal is to reach 50 million by 2026. NCD prevention is at the core of all our work . We work mostly in India, which is particularly hard hit by NCDs – diseases such as Type 2 diabetes, heart disease, cancer and chronic lung diseases. We are proud to have reached more than 1 million people who live at the bottom of the pyramid with earnings of <$5.50 a day. We have shown proof of concept and are in aggressive scale-up mode. Our work is aligned with the Government of India’s priorities and we believe we can help India – and the world – meet the Sustainable Development Goals , especially Goal #3 (health and well-being for all.) Our work has been appreciated by several Global organization's. As a result, we are proud recipients of prestigious Goggle AI4SG , United Nations and Business World Award . We have received Grants from Stanford Global Health Seed and Together Women RISE .

mDiabetes
The mDiabetes program, spearheaded by Arogya World, stands as the world's largest text message-based initiative for diabetes prevention, having reached over a million individuals across India through messages in 12 languages. Its impact is evident in the adoption of healthier lifestyles by 20,000 participants, showcasing the program's effectiveness in fostering behavior change. Leveraging the widespread use of mobile phones in India, with approximately 900 million subscribers, mDiabetes strategically utilizes mobile technology to promote preventive health measures against diabetes, aligning with WHO findings that highlight the significant role of lifestyle modifications in averting chronic diseases like diabetes, heart disease, and cancer.

In 2022, Arogya World won the prestigious UN Award, received the Together Women Rise Grant, and was in the Top 15 as part of the WhatsApp Incubator Programme in India.
