Rao Saheb Bandla Bapaiah established a Middle School in November 1921 for the benefit of the rural poor on 5 acres of campus with adequate corpus fu Read morend and a strong heritage building which is still in good condition. He could select the best teachers who laid a strong foundation of teaching and learning methods. He was honoured by the British governor with the title of Rao Saheb. A free mid-day meal facility provided by Sri Gollapudi Radhakrishnaiah Garu boosted admissions of outstation students and is being still maintained by Sri G Sitaram. Sri Bandla Venkateswara Rao (Eldest son of Founder) as a President with support of his brothers, Vice Presidents, Secretaries and selfless and likeminded local gentry developed the Middle School to High School (1946), Junior College (1969) & Degree College (1981). The Management could get Government Aid from the Government of Andhra Pradesh, which helped in the development of a huge infrastructure of libraries, science labs, playfields and classrooms. It is an NGO, a Non-Profit under a Registered Society of “ Bandla Bapaiah Vidya Samsthala Committee” (BBVSC), since 16th Jan 1978. The tradition of best teaching-learning practices continued. Present President Lt. Col Bandla Ankaiah (Grandson of Founder), with support of Vice President, Secretary, and Joint Secretary, Committee members and strong Alumni, started STEM activities with the support of Pratham Foundation & Agastya International Foundation. We established a computer center (Courtesy Pratham Foundation). We established a Science Lab, Mathematics Lab and Lab on Bike with collaboration of Agastya International Foundation and with funds from President’s family, a strong and passionate Alumni, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds. We have a very strong network of alumni across the globe, and we are now picking up momentum to further strengthen it. We are also empaneled with United Way of Hyderabad (UWH). We have all required certifications of NGO such as Tax Exemption certificate under Sec 80 G, 12 AA Certification (duly renewed), NITI Ayog ID, CRS-1 form to be eligible to receive CSR funds, FCRA Certification to receive Foreign funds, Society Registration Certificate under Registrar of Societies. as per GOI Acts. Col Bandla Ankaiah and the Management Team now focus on some more STEM Activities (3D printing, Innovation Hub, Robotics, electronics lab,), Arts & Crafts (wood Craft, Clay Craft & Handloom Craft) and vocational courses (2-year Graphics & Animation and 2 years Electronics Engineering courses at Intermediate level) and enhancing the English language across BVSSC, to meet the challenges of New Education Policy 2020. We have a strong plan of establishing 6 more 3d Digital class rooms for better teaching and learning processes, after successful implementation two such 3D Digital class rooms. We have now started a free coaching center for training students to join Armed Forces, Police forces and banking sector. We have recently conducted Centenary Celebrations from 5th to 6th November 2022, where Hon'ble Former Vice-President and many other dignitaries visited and addrressed the gathering of about 3000 people including retired teachers , Alumni, and present teachers and students.
