Ovee Trust is dedicated to the educational and social empowerment of tribal and nomadic communities, particularly in the rural expanses of Maharashtra Read more. As a registered not-for-profit organization under the Bombay Public Trust Act 1950, our aim is deeply rooted in uplifting the most deprived segments of society through interventions in Education, Women's empowerment, and Community development. At Ovee Trust, we envision a society where equality reigns supreme, where every child, regardless of socio-economic status, enjoys access to quality education that is inclusive, equitable, and nurturing. We are committed to breaking down barriers and building bridges to ensure that no child is left behind. Our programs are designed to promote inclusive education, advocating for equal opportunities for every child, irrespective of their background. We strive to create an ecosystem that fosters the holistic development of children, women's empowerment, and community development, recognizing the integral role they play in the overall upliftment of society.
Issue
Children from nomadic tribe communities often find themselves deeply involved in their parents' livelihood activities, which frequently involve migration. As a result, they are often deprived of educational opportunities and the chance for personal growth and development. Similarly, women within these communities are actively engaged in migration and livelihood pursuits, often without access to education or knowledge about avenues for personal advancement. This lack of access to education and resources significantly hinders their ability to improve their circumstances or pursue better opportunities for themselves.
Action
We are dedicated to empowering children from nomadic tribes through our learning center, where we prioritize creating a nurturing and joyful environment for their holistic development. Our focus extends beyond academic education to encompass life skills and values cultivation, fostering a well-rounded approach to learning. Through tailored programs, we aim to nurture their artistic talents and creative expression, recognizing the importance of artistic development in their growth journey. Moreover, we provide a safe and secure space where they can thrive, offering not only educational support but also access to nutrition and healthcare services. Our commitment lies in ensuring that these children have every opportunity to flourish and reach their full potential, laying the foundation for a brighter future. We are deeply committed to the empowerment of women, offering a comprehensive support system aimed at fostering their personal and professional growth. Through our initiatives, we provide educational opportunities, access to healthcare services, and skill development programs tailored to their needs. Our efforts also include raising awareness about women's health, rights, dignity, and leadership potential. By equipping women with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to thrive, we strive to create a more inclusive and equitable society where every woman can realize her full potential and contribute meaningfully to her community.

Impact
Over the past three years, our efforts have directly impacted 300 children, providing crucial support in nutrition, healthcare, and education. Through our interventions, we have successfully enrolled them in educational programs and ensured their sustained participation. Remarkably, all of these children have ceased consuming substances and have steered clear of child labor, instead embracing education as an integral part of their lives. Additionally, we've extended our support to 200 women, offering them access to education, healthcare services, nutritional assistance, and sanitation support. Moreover, these women have been provided with opportunities for skill development, equipping them with the tools they need to enhance their livelihoods and secure better futures for themselves and their families.

Currently, we operate the 'Balnagari Learning Center' in Dhangarwadi, a quaint hamlet nestled within the Mendhala village of Yavatmal district, since July 2020.
