Development Education Center is a Society Register organization doing services for the past 26years towards women, children and differently-abled welf Read moreare in Tiruvallur district and parts of north Chennai. In our service we are having special school for persons with intellectually challenged, a Vocational training centre for the adolescent intellectually challenged at Thiruvottiur and a Residential school cum training centre for the intellectually challenged at Melnallathur, Tiruvallur. In our residential training centre, 25 special children from the age group of 12 to 25 years are attending school regularly and they are getting special training all the special needs. We do organize awareness programmes, conduct medical camps, screening camps, therapeutic services, counselling, a Training programme for the differently abled, Sports training to participate in Special Olympics for the intellectually challenged and vocational training & placement. We have placed our Trainees in Supermarket, air pumps, industry's, office settings

DEC operates special schools, vocational training centers, and residential facilities for intellectually challenged individuals, providing education, therapy, skill development, and rehabilitation services.

    AnbalayA, a special school recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu, is dedicated to training and providing welfare to individuals with disabilities and intellectual challenges. The name "AnbalayA" translates to "Home of Love," symbolizing its welcoming embrace for intellectually challenged children in North Chennai and Thiruvallur District. What sets AnbalayA apart is its comprehensive approach, offering a range of updated techniques and services all under one roof. To date, the school has successfully trained over 300 students, helping them integrate into mainstream education and secure job opportunities.
