SEED, led by dedicated young professionals with expertise in environmental conservation, education, health, and social development, is a secular NGO. The organization is dedicated to environmental protection, traditional agriculture, ecological balance, and biodiversity preservation. It promotes cost-effective agricultural practices, strengthens value chains, empowers farmers' institutions, and advocates for children's rights to education, health, and sanitation. Additionally, SEED works to build youth capacity, address social issues like alcoholism and drug addiction, and provide special education opportunities for the physically and mentally challenged. With extensive experience collaborating with stakeholders including government bodies, NABARD, and CSR initiatives, SEED continues its mission to tackle rural and urban challenges.

Programs

  • Environmental Protection Programme

    SEED, a secular non-governmental organization, initiated various programmes to address environmental, social, and developmental challenges. Notable initiatives include biodiversity conservation projects supported by State Biodiversity Boards, water conservation efforts in collaboration with the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board, and recognition by the Telangana government for outstanding contributions to sustainable agriculture. SEED also focuses on climate change resilience, livelihood enhancement, and COVID-19 response efforts, aiming to empower marginalized communities and promote holistic development.

  • Microenterprise Development Programme (MEDP)

    Gender-specific initiatives are integrated across various projects. In the Microenterprise Development Programme (MEDP), 120 women participated in tailoring and embroidery across four batches, while in the Livelihood and Enterprise Development Programme (LEDP), 150 women were trained in five batches. Seven women received training in commercial vegetable cultivation, leading to their involvement in Pandel cultivation. 60 women attended forest nursery management training sessions, resulting in the establishment of four forest nurseries supplied for Harithahram. Lastly, 40 women from four Joint Liability Groups (JLGs) received training in dairy development and received dairy animals from the Animal Husbandry department, supported by technical assistance.
