Established by a collective of charitable individuals, the Aasmaan Foundation gained formal recognition as a Non-Governmental Organisation in 2012. It Read more is dedicated to the advancement and improvement of underprivileged children's lives, with a focus on their education, health, and rights. Originally initiated by a circle of ten close friends, the Foundation has since expanded its volunteer base to over a hundred committed individuals, working year-round for societal enhancement. Over time, the foundation has directed a number of initiatives, encompassing grassroots programmes directly benefiting children, as well as successful fundraising events. Its overarching vision is the creation of a society where every child can thrive to their full potential and experience genuine equality. The organisation actively promotes a culture of benevolence and strives to instill a sense of social responsibility among today's youth. Its mission revolves around empowering children, improving lives, advocating for universal education irrespective of social background, and, above all, bringing joy to the less fortunate through its projects and events.

Aasmaan Teaching Project
AASMAAN's Teaching Project (ATP) is a regular educational endeavour overseen by committed volunteers. Its objective is to provide essential education in English, Gujarati, Mathematics, Hindi, and Science to students of diverse grade levels. Skilled educators and volunteers conduct daily classes at three separate locations in Paldi, Motera, and Gurukul.

AaSh Programme
AaSh, symbolizing hope, serves as the primary initiative, acting as a catalyst for talented and motivated students. The programme's aim includes supporting all educational costs, providing after-school practice sessions, conducting monthly counselling sessions for students and parents, organising holistic development workshops, and ensuring regular health check-ups. Presently, support benefits 10 students, with plans to extend scholarships to an additional 13 students in the upcoming academic term.

Child Mentor Programme
The Child Mentor Programme (CMP) is an initiative designed for direct engagement with children. Each chosen volunteer in CMP assumes full responsibility for a child hailing from a disadvantaged socio-economic background, whether they attend municipal or private schools. The volunteer's duties encompass overseeing the child's education, health, school attendance, and social well-being. They are expected to commit a minimum of 3 hours per week, totalling 12 hours per month, with a preference for spreading this time over weekly intervals to support their assigned student effectively.

Aasmaan Community Development Project
The Aasmaan Community Development project aids residents in its three centres by improving their businesses. This includes understanding their work, identifying areas for growth, and helping them. This support boosts family income, allowing for better education for their children. The project also focuses on improving hygiene and communication skills among slum residents, fostering overall societal progress. Volunteers gain practical knowledge of marketing and brand development, enabling them to recognize growth opportunities and bridge gaps in the community, advancing the community as a whole.

Food for Thought Programme
The inception of "Food For Thought" dates back to 2013 as a fundraising endeavour. In this event, its dedicated volunteers establish a temporary food stall along the bustling and vibrant IIM road for a period of ten days. During this time, a diverse array of food items is meticulously prepared and vended by these volunteers. All proceeds from this culinary venture are channelled towards its grassroots initiatives, such as distributing notebooks and supporting the Child Mentor Project. "Food For Thought" serves as a pivotal fundraising event, with all funds generated dedicated to the betterment of children across its three centres.

Let's Go Shopping Programme
"Let's Go Shopping" is an immersive, real-time shopping simulation designed for underprivileged children. In this unique experience, youngsters utilize play (pretend) money to make purchases. It serves as a valuable opportunity for them to grasp the significance of money, budgeting skills, and, most importantly, discover their personal preferences.
Various items, including clothing, toys, footwear, and stationery, are sourced from across Ahmedabad and meticulously organised by size. These items are then presented in a display, allowing the children to navigate and make choices during their shopping experience.
