Snehavardhini Social Trust

Snehavardhini Social Trust is a Registered body working with the Kathkari tribal of Roha, Raigad district of Maharashtra since 1990. They cater to an Read more estimated number of 5000 tribal, 1000 families from 33 tribal hamlets of Roha Taluka. They work with the vision of “empowerment of the marginalized” and with the objective of educational empowerment, women empowerment, holistic health development, enhancing the implementation of government schemes, local self-governance, promotion, and protection of the environment. They work in the areas of Education, women, health, government schemes, local self-governance, youth empowerment and the environment. They intervene proactively and creatively in the social problems of child marriage, malnutrition, illiteracy, child labour, bonded labour, domestic violence, deforestation, addictions, poverty etc. As the result of the incessant efforts placed by the Trust, they have first-generation learners in the school and around 350-400 unmarried adolescents who fight child marriage through higher education and for the dropout's professional courses. They work very efficiently on sustainable livelihood programs by assisting the tribal populations, especially women and youth for the self-employment generation.
