We are an operational NGO that started runn Read moreing the project Kannan Animal Welfare (KAW) with a primary focus to rescue and treat extremely critical animal medical cases. Our goals for this project were to accomplish the following: Provide quality medical care to all animals Provide a forever home to critical rescues Help to rehabilitate and rehome adoptable animals  Kannan Animal Welfare Foundation's project KAW started in 2015 with a very small centre to keep around 20 dogs, in the last 5 years it expanded quickly in terms of scope of work, size, and recognition. We have helped 1000+ dogs and rehomed 120 dogs overseas. Since we only take on truly critical cases, we rescue a limited number of dogs in a year, between 150-200. Goal Amount and Aim: In this fundraiser with GiveIndia, we are aiming to raise an estimated target amount of Rupees 60,00,000 lakhs in order to build a new shelter space on land of approximately two acres. The prime aim of building this modified shelter space is to accommodate our permanent rescues while simultaneously expanding our daily rescue operations, further increasing our ability to support a larger number of critically injured community animals.
