Gram Vikas Parishad (GVP), established in 1987, has become synonymous with women's empowerment and child labor rehabilitation within just 33 years. Op Read moreerating in some of India's most impoverished districts, including Madhubani, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Madhepura, Saharsa, Araria, Supaul, Sheohar, and Sitamarhi in Bihar, GVP has encountered numerous challenges, including geographical obstacles and political indifference. Despite facing these hurdles, GVP has emerged as a beacon of hope, addressing various social issues such as women's empowerment, child labor, safe migration, income generation, community empowerment, climate change, and human trafficking from neighboring countries. As the sole resource center in the region on such issues, GVP not only provides training to partner NGOs but also supplies valuable data to funding organizations. The organization's impact is evident in the gratitude of the millions of impoverished individuals residing in the area, who attest to the positive difference GVP has made in their lives.

Training Program for Madhubani Painting Artists
The program has facilitated basic training sessions for 300 Madhubani Painting artists, offering them fundamental skills and techniques essential for practicing this revered art form. Additionally, 75 artists have undergone specialized design development training, equipping them with advanced techniques and insights to enhance their artistic abilities and creativity within the realm of Madhubani Painting. Through these training initiatives, artists are empowered to further hone their craft and contribute to the preservation and promotion of this traditional art form.

Health & Sanitation Awareness Program
The organization focuses on health education and promoting primary healthcare, with a particular emphasis on reproductive and child health services, ensuring access to safe drinking water, and advocating for improved hygiene and sanitation practices. This initiative aims to empower communities with knowledge and resources to prioritize their health and well-being, particularly in areas concerning reproductive health and hygiene.
