Institute for Studies and Transformations

Institute for Studies and Transformations (IST) is a registered charitable Trust based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. IST works primarily in the states of Gu Read morejarat, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan. It's core thematic work is on the issue of youth and conflict transformation by way of nurturing value-based leadership among youth, facilitating their leadership journey and civic actions by them, innovating arts and cultural practices to promote and strengthen the culture of non-violence, the rule of law and plural social fabric. Currently, it runs two interventions namely Conflictorium and Buniyaad. Conflictorium runs two participatory museums each in Ahmedabad and Raipur that engages with nearly 10,000 youth annually through various innovative arts and cultural activities. Buniyaad works with disadvantaged youth in 12 blocks of Gujarat and Rajasthan engaging directly with nearly 5,000 youth through its leadership, paralegal, sports and cultural events, local youth spaces and civic action initiatives by youth and young citizen leaders.
