ABC & ARV Programme
Mass sterilization and vaccination are vital in controlling the burgeoning population of street dogs in urban areas, mitigating conflicts and reducing rabies cases. This humane approach, endorsed by reputable organizations like WHO and the Animal Welfare Board of India, involves surgically removing reproductive organs to prevent breeding. Sarvodaya Sevabhavi Samstha collaborates with local initiatives, conducting ABC surgeries across various municipalities and regions. Using the Butterfly Net method, dogs are safely transported to sterilization units, where experienced veterinarians perform surgeries with modern techniques, ensuring minimal trauma and rapid recovery before releasing them back into their environment.
