Apni Roti, an initiative led by the Shivohum Balaji Seva Trust, functions as a Non-Governmental Organisation committed to closing the gap between the Read moreunderprivileged and their essential human right - food access. Dedicated to societal advancement, it goes beyond mere food distribution by preparing fresh meals, and ensuring the underprivileged receive nutritious sustenance. This modest effort aims to positively impact the lives of those in need, empowering them and fostering their development. With a dedication to ending hunger, Apni Roti delivers quality meals with balanced nutrients, striving to mitigate the physical, mental, and emotional toll of hunger. The organisation envisions fostering an inclusive community where individuals from all socio-economic backgrounds can access nutritious food, contributing to a healthier, more resilient India. Its mission includes providing nourishing food to the underprivileged, tackling food insecurity, raising awareness about hunger-related issues, and cultivating a community that promotes social cohesion and belonging. The ultimate objective is to provide sustainable solutions to the immediate needs of the homeless and underprivileged through timely food assistance.

Gangasagar Mela Pariseva
Annually, thousands of pilgrims flock to Gangasagar, a revered pilgrimage site in West Bengal. Since 2019, Apni Roti has been providing complimentary meals and essential support to these devotees. In January 2022, a 5-day camp was organised, offering fresh and nutritious meals, along with clean water, to pilgrims and elders. Recognizing the physical exertion after taking a holy dip and navigating crowded areas, Apni Roti aimed to keep devotees hydrated and well-fed. Using ingredients from FSSAI-approved brands, the organisation, driven by the spirit of communal amity, successfully served every devotee with the help of dedicated volunteers, nurturing people and fostering resilience in communities.
