NTWS formed by patients, parents, doctors and well-wishers is dedicated for the cause of Thalassemia since 1991. It was formed with the twin objective Read more of caring the affected people and controlling the disease in future generation. To fulfil our second objective we have planned to create awareness in colleges and screen the students. NTWS has been actively involved in creating awareness and screening the Thalassemia status of masses. We regularly organize Thalassemia Awareness screening Camps in various Corporate and that had a cascading effect on their families friends etc.We regularly provide FREE treatment to some of the poor Thalassemic patients.

Medical Check-up Camp at Chandigarh
StateThe Thalassemia Welfare Society Jalandhar orchestrated a complimentary medical check-up and medicine provision event on June 30th at the Civil Hospital, Jalandhar. Dr. J.S. Arora attended as an invited physician to diagnose patients and recommend appropriate treatments. Mr. Surjit Singh Khattar, Managing Director of Help Thalassemics, oversaw the distribution of chelation drugs and other necessary medications to those in need. Various social organizations, including Agaaz Society, Sai Blood Sewa Society, and pharmaceutical company Glaxo, participated in the event, pledging to regularly donate blood to meet the haemoglobin needs of thalassemia patients. Additionally, they committed to raising public awareness to prevent new cases of thalassemia major through financial contributions to support treatment for those unable to afford it.
