Moreover, IVI has conducted numerous capacity-building workshops, benefiting around 10,000 optometry professionals, and is committed to addressing human resource needs, advocating for equitable access to vision care, and eliminating uncorrected refractive errors by 2050. Looking ahead, IVI's strategic focus for the next five years includes continuing education for optometry professionals, advocating for fair access to vision care services, and supporting sustainable development goals for a healthier world by 2030. Additionally, it aims to establish a strong global presence for the Indian vision industry while enhancing optometry education and professional infrastructure within India. With a comprehensive approach to eye care and a commitment to societal well-being, IVI stands as a beacon of hope in the quest for a better vision and a healthier future for all.

Spreading awareness of eye care importance and Optometrists' role in preventing blindness, IVI conducts innovative campaigns like 'Ollie the Optometrist' musical, promotes Optometry careers through the 'Opt for Optometry' platform, and organises 'Walk in the Dark' events where visually impaired children lead blindfolded walks, joined by dignitaries and students carrying eye care messages.

IVI's Leadership Development Programme empowers optometry professionals to excel in eye care education and practice by offering comprehensive training and mentorship. Through initiatives like the IVI Online Series for Institutional Development, participants gain insights into strategic areas of optometry school development, fostering partnerships and networking.
