Enabling independent living and enhancing the quality of life of persons with disability due to spinal cord /brain injury are the goals of Chandigarh Spinal Rehab. Offering quality, comprehensive, holistic and affordable rehabilitation are the prime drivers for accomplishing the goals of Chandigarh Spinal Rehab.   North India is in desperate need of a quality and affordable Rehabilitation Centre. Chandigarh Spinal Rehab, inaugurated on the 10th of July, 2016, is now filling this gap in the healthcare landscape and is a pioneer of holistic rehabilitation for people with severe multi disabilities like Spinal Cord Injury/ Traumatic Brain Injury like Stroke, Cerebral Palsy. We are also crusaders for socio - economic integration of these persons. In a short span of over three years, we have successfully rehabilitated over 200+ patients, out of which 80.4% of them have gone back to their homes to live productive and dignified lives, either with new jobs or some new business venture. We have organized several events like scuba diving, paramotoring, mouth painting, and swimming to enhance their lives and to help them to live a life of purpose, dignity and joy post-injury. Our journey is filled with daunting challenges. Due to the socio-economic structure of our country, most of the people from rural backgrounds are not even aware of the need for proper rehabilitation after an accident leading to brain or spine injury. Therefore, they lose a major chunk of their hard-earned money in tackling the various physical and medical complications which come with such devastating injuries. Therefore, by the time they reach us, they are incapable of paying for a comprehensive rehabilitation program. In the past three years, we have worked diligently and extended the highest quality of rehabilitation to all who have come to us regardless of their paying capacities. (approx. 60%)
