'Help The Needy During Covid' Project'
The pandemic and ensuing lockdowns have disproportionately impacted marginalized communities, leading to economic hardships and loss of livelihoods. In collaboration with CARITAS INDIA, Sneha Charitable Trust, Mangalore, and Buddhist TZU CHI Foundation, the project distributed essential items like food, masks, and sanitizers to those in need. Through the efforts of SAMPADA UDUPI staff, volunteers, and Self-Help Group members, 484 families received dry ration kits, and 32 individuals received medical assistance. Additionally, 285 families in remote villages were aided with ration kits and medical support, including migrant laborers. The project extends gratitude to all volunteers for their dedication in reaching every corner of the district.
