Suryoday Trust is a pioneer special school located in the Palghar region of Indian state of Maharashtra. The school has been running since a decade an Read mored provides not just education, but therapeutic help, drama and music therapy to ensure student’s overall development. Further, in order to ensure that the tracking and monitoring of student’s growth are done properly, the Individualized Education Programme (IEP) is also followed. Impact Numbers • Currently being educated at school – 50 • No. of students educated over 10 years - 200 • Beneficiaries impacted through the Digital IEP: 3111 Our Programmes/Projects Suryoday school’s activities are conducted by 10 teachers (7 Full time and 3 Part time) and are supervised by an experienced Special Educator. ● Academics along with exposure visits to cover theoretical as well as practical aspects. ● Extra-curricular activities such as picnics, music, dance, etc. in order to increase social skills. ● Pre-vocational skills such as making craft items and selling them. ● Therapies such as Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Behavioral Therapy. ● Parent counselling ● Sports Activities

Digitalization of special child's development
The Suryoday Trust has embarked on an initiative to establish an online platform aimed at facilitating the creation, tracking, and reporting of student progress. This system will streamline the process of adhering to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for teachers, making it more efficient and standardized. Furthermore, parents will benefit from enhanced transparency regarding their child's educational journey, gaining insights into their learning experiences at school and the milestones achieved in their overall development.

Project Pragati
Suryoday Trust has initiated Project Pragati for “Vocational Training and Skill Development” for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities. For this project Suryoday Trust has leased additional 1,500 sq. ft at Bhayandar, wherein we plan to conduct courses like Art & craft, stitching, printing, embroidery, etc. that will assist Persons with Intellectual Disabilities in generating livelihood through sale of products.
Project Pragati aims at developing quality products which can compete in the open market and get good commercial value. This will be done with the help of professional merchandizers and designers along with trained artisans who will train and guide individuals to develop skills in manufacturing these products. Through this initiative Suryoday Trust would like to create regular income stream for Person with Intellectual Disabilities.
