Operating in Northern India, with a focus on UP, Jharkhand, Bihar, and Uttarakhand, the organisation actively contributes to nation-building, aspiring to create an egalitarian society that eradicates poverty and eliminates discrimination based on religion, caste, creed, and gender. Drawing inspiration from Buddha's teachings of peace, non-violence, and compassion, it aims for sustainable development and has positively impacted nearly one million families through diverse programme interventions over three decades.

The vision is to create a society free from disparity and all kinds of discrimination with equity and social justice, while the mission is to generate a community of scholars who can manage continuity and change, and incorporate best practices in teaching and learning.

The organization has been formally registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860, FCRA Act 1976, and IT Act 12A.
