Gautam Buddha Jagriti Society, a non-profit organisation established in 1993 in Siddharth Nagar, focuses on bringing sustainable relief to the suffering and underprivileged communities in Northern India, particularly in UP, Jharkhand, Bihar & Uttarakhand. Inspired by the teachings of Lord Gautam Buddha, the society promotes nation-building and strives for an egalitarian society, free from poverty and discrimination based on religion, caste, creed, or gender. Registered formally in 1996 under the Indian Societies Registration Act 1860, it has directly impacted nearly 1 million families through diverse program interventions aimed at alleviating the plight of the most vulnerable sections of society.
