Jeevan, the founder of ASHA KUTEER, grew up in a family where he did not get enough love and support from his family members. Later on, as a youth, hi Read mores love proposal was rejected by his fiancée and his professional careeralso was insignificant and stagnant. This led to depression and loneliness. However, then, instead of giving love to those who did not need it, he wanted to give it to those who longed for it. He decided to adopt a child in order to teach a lesson to his fiancée that there were so many people who need and yearn for love. Then on March 1st 2009; Jeevan went to theSecunderabad railway station. There, he came across a 7-year-old girl who turned out to be the daughter of a sex worker. While Jeevan was speaking with the girl’s mother and mother’s friends, an auto driver came in the midst and informed that one customer was waiting for her. The girl’s mother was hesitant to go, but without pausing & hesitation, the girl told her mother “Go Maa Go”. Hearing the girl’s innocent words broke Jeevan’s heart and helped him to think beyond his own pain and sufferings to see the other side of the world. That led him to start Asha Kuteer. It was set up in January 2013 with 4 children only. Asha Kuteer means – Home of HOPE. Jeevan wanted to give HOPE for the hopeless. There are around 70 wonderful children in the three respective homes of Ashakuteer, presently. What we do: We create a safe and secure haven for our children to learn, improve, and bloom into who they really are, so they can grow up to afford themselves the dignity and strength they need to break free of the cycle of discrimination, deprivation and neglect. As an organization, we work to erase the barriers between the kids and their original acumen. We assist them in realizing their true potential. In our view, quality long-term care empowers children to focus on self- development and become able to grasp the opportunities that come their way in life. We provide them with food, clothing, shelter, and healthcare to create a secure and positive environment in which they never feel a lack of privilege and can grow uninhibited by circumstance. WE BELIEVE Care, after all, is multifaceted. It includes learning and improvement on all fronts. At AshaKuteer, we ensure that THE children fully realize the latent potential within themselves through exposure to various activities and projects. We offer them plenty of scope to cultivate different hobbies and recreational activities along with life skills to FOSTER their personalities. We intend to liberate our children from the shackles of circumstance and help them stand on a platform from where they can contend with THEIR privileged PEERS on equal footing.

Programs

  • Home for Boys

We have about twenty poor orphan boys, ages six to eighteen, living on campus.

These children are usually seen, defenseless, in shantytowns or by the side of the road. They have horrific tales to tell and have experienced the most trying time of their life. These children were located by Asha Kuteer, who returned them to their secure home in Peerzadiguda, Hyderabad. Speaking with the youngsters, we learned that they are developing psychological issues in addition to being physically, cognitively, and emotionally dependent. They receive the appropriate medical care and psychological assistance, which is crucial for them to progress and leave past experiences behind.

  • Home for Blind

In this home thirty male pupils are visually challenged. Due to a lack of employment options, social stigma, restricted access to activities, and emotional support, blind students are frequently alone. We enable visually impaired students to work, take competitive entrance examinations, and engage in extracurricular activities including sports, music, and indoor games. Assistive technology and computer training will make every visually impaired boy's life better and more connected to the tech-savvy current digital world.
