Bolpur Ukilpatty Suchetana

Suchetana started its journey in 2009 with the aim of women empowerment, mainstreaming of child labour and tribal all-round development. Since 2012 a Read more National Child Labor School (Ministry of Labor, Govt. of India) is running under Suchetana and about 100 child labourers are already mainstreamed. An animal husbandry farm is running for tribal women to uplift their economical upliftment. We are nurturing and preserving tribal culture which is the most primitive culture of the country by a few cultural groups of tribal people who perform different places and another source of their income. With the aim of socio-economic establishment of women, we have arranged different skill development training, design development, marketing strategy and banking linkage training for them. We arrange stalls in trade fairs from time to time where they exhibit and sell their products. Some of the artisans collaborated with some shops with help of Suchetana. Some are doing their own business. Suchetana is going to set up a handicrafts cluster for 1000 women within March 2022. Besides this, we have arranged different awareness camps on health, education, labour, environment of different State Govt. departments. All the training we have arranged for handicraft artisan and unemployed educated youth are from ICDS, DRDC, MSME, Health, Labor Dept. etc.
