It was established by a few like-minded social workers in the field of development and registered on 11th July 1985 and its registration number is 1354/85 . It is a micro-level intermediary charitable organization working for the development of marginalized and disinherited groups. SURE has been working in many key socio-economic development activities and relief sectors such as –  Economic Development – Promotion and development of sustainable economic activities, financial intermediation, micro-enterprise development, income generation,   Education – Financial literacy – Education for all, Promotion and establishment of educational institutions, sponsorship of orphan education, Adult literacy, Employable Skill Training and Development, Vocational training,    Food security – Sustainable agriculture, Water resource management,   Primary health – Women and Child Welfare, Facilitating immunity of the communities to combat communicable diseases, Promotion and establishment of Village Health care centres.   Disaster response and preparedness – immediate relief, mid and long-term rehabilitation, pre-positions.
