Impact

Sustainable Agriculture & Livelihood : Our key achievements include enabling 18,300 farmers to adopt organic farming, 15,100 farmers to practice the System of Rice Intensification (SRI), and 8,500 farmers to adopt climate-resilient agricultural practices, resulting in improved productivity, lower cultivation costs, healthier soils, and greater resilience to climate change. We have also introduced 2,200 farmers to pulse cultivation, supported 6,500 households in commercial vegetable farming, 850 families in livestock-based livelihoods, and 300 households in fisheries, diversifying incomes and improving food and nutrition security. To strengthen local economies, VIEWS has trained 1,650 rural youth in market-driven skills, supported 160 ultra-poor women to establish micro-enterprises, trained 330 women in mushroom cultivation, and strengthened one Farmer Producer Company (FPC) in Ganjam, improving collective marketing and farmers' access to markets and services. Inclusive Education : VIEWS has transformed the lives of thousands of children and adolescents by ensuring equitable access to quality and inclusive education. Through 22 Community Learning Centres and 4 Digital Learning Centres, 6,374+ children and 1,005+ students have received academic and digital learning support, while 5,927+ adolescent girls were enabled to continue their education. The programme also re-enrolled 58 out-of-school children into government schools, strengthened 32 Girls' Clubs, and equipped adolescents with life skills, leadership, health, hygiene, and sexual and reproductive health education. Additionally, 501 students received educational kits, 237 youth leaders were developed as community change-makers, and 176 young women gained vocational skills through tailoring training, creating pathways to education, empowerment, and sustainable livelihoods.

Vision and Mission

VIEWS' vision is a self-reliant Odisha where communities thrive in peace and dignity. Its mission is to empower vulnerable communities to improve their quality of life.
