Paradise Home is a non-profit organization providing life-long, safe, and loving environment for intellectually challenged individuals who have nowhe Read morere else to turn to. Mrs Mallika Gopal, physically handicapped from a young age, witnessed that Intellectually challenged lives had many problems with their daily lives, chores and founded Paradise home with the goal of providing a loving and safe space for these special lives, enabling them to live with dignity and help them on the journey to become self-sufficient. Unlike other institutions in Chennai that send children back to their parents when they reach 15 years of age, we provide care for our children throughout their lives, ensuring their future remains secure. At Paradise Home, we admit children without discrimination based on their age, caste, creed, or financial status. Our humble beginnings started in a rented building in Madipakkam with just a couple of children
Action
At Paradise Home, we provide more than just shelter, we offer a life-long, safe, and loving environment for intellectually challenged individuals who have nowhere else to turn. Our goal is to help these special individuals live with dignity, independence and create a brighter future for them. Care - We prioritize the mental and physical well-being of our children. We offer a range of therapies, including speech therapy, occupational therapy, yoga therapy, and vocational therapy, to support their development. Our residential school welcomes children aged 6 to adults as old as 65, ensuring that we can cater to a wide range of needs. Educate - Our organization regularly evaluates the disabilities of our children with the aid of a psychiatrist and special educator to ensure that they are placed in appropriate educational settings. Additionally, our school has a team of six special educators who are specifically trained to work with children who have mental challenges. Train - Our organization aims to provide our children with the necessary skills to become self-sufficient, so they are not reliant on others in the future. We achieve this by training them in day-to-day activities and offering vocational training programs such as candle making, paper plate making, garland making, gardening, and more. We currently care for 97 lives in our residential facilities.
