2004
Ashadeepa started its journey in the year 2004 with a vision to empower persons with disabilities into becoming contributing members of the society a Read morend to lead a life of dignity. Over a period of 14 years of long journey, Ashadeepa has spread disability awareness and transformed the lives of many challenged people through medical, educational and residential activities. Throughout the journey, we ourselves learned a lot about the various forms of disabilities. Interacting with many people with disabilities, organizational heads, and NGO experts understanding their views, sharing their knowledge and resources, we feel we will still keep learning in the field of disability. In this direction, Ashadeepa keeps on looking for innovative service projects. With the blessings of our well-wishers, Ashadeep has taken a giant step ahead. Ashadeepa, working with APD - Association of people with disability commenced rehabilitation services in the district and National trust – Disha project, NABARD- SHPI, PANKH-Retail Training. Our intention is to provide medical, educational, social and livelihood rehabilitation for persons with disabilities (PWDs), making use of available resources like human, technical, and financial resources through this project. In our history of 14 years, we have been fortunate to execute our activities through the generous support of funding partners, technical partners, NGOs, volunteers, community service users, and many individual philanthropists.
Action
The organization undertakes programs for persons with disabilities, including promoting and facilitating environments for children with hearing impairments through sign language, community-based rehabilitation, early intervention and education for children with developmental delays, skill building and job linkage, and support for women facing domestic issues.

Ashadeepa has built an ecosystem for early stage intervention and early education in Hunagund Taluk, covering 75 villages and 34 Panchayats in Bagalkot district, resulting in 99 children becoming normal, 125 reaching moderate stage, and 1671 domestic violence cases being solved through their Women Helpline.
Vision & Mission
Ashadeepa's vision is for people with disabilities, women, children, and youth to become contributing members of society and lead lives with dignity. Their mission is to create a supportive environment for career advancement of persons with disabilities through counselling, education, and skill building, aiming to touch 17,000 lives by 2030.
Milestones & Track Record
Ashadeepa has received awards from the Department of Women & Child Development in 2013 and the Karnataka State Award for work Excellency in 2015 from the Government of Karnataka. They have also gained accreditation from various organizations including the District Disable Welfare Department, Kaushalya Karnataka, National Trust/Niti Ayoga, GuideStar India, and Give India.
