Peepal Foundation is a not-for-profit NGO, established in 2001 and is currently working for underprivileged children who study in PMC (Pune Municipal Read moreCorporation) schools and private trusts schools. Since the past 17 years, we have worked relentlessly in this field, growing from 30 children in our first year to the present year statistic of over 20000 students. Over the years, we have changed from just being caretakers of senior citizens, children of construction workers, to empowering young minds in the age group of 7 to 11 years. Through our CEDE (Child Empowerment Development and Education) program we impart non-academic education through modules that deal with health, hygiene, communication, civic sense, value education, and art and culture throughout the academic year. Currently, CEDE Program is conducted in 7 PMC schools and 2 private schools. Children are exposed to various subjects to develop communication skills, life values, civil rights, public health, and private health as well. The program encourages public speaking for children by organizing competitions and debates in English with a view to removing the fear of speaking English and promoting better language comprehension.

Peepal Foundation's mission is to educate, empower and enrich underprivileged children by providing them with life skills and tools to interact effectively with the world around them.

Peepal Foundation has grown from supporting 30 children in its first year to impacting over 20,000 students currently through its CEDE (Child Empowerment Development and Education) program.
