Nisarga Hadi Makkala Chiguru Shale Programme
Nisarga Foundation operates the Nisarga Hadi Makkala Chiguru Shale, a school committed to offering value-based, quality education to the tribal society. With a focus on fostering the innate human desire for free thinking, learning, and creative expression, the Foundation collaborates with the local Panchayath and Education Department. The Nisarga Tribal Children's School, situated in four tribal hamlets, is facilitated by four dedicated tribal volunteer teachers, catering to 87 enrolled children. Operating on all working days from 5 pm to 6:30 pm, the school provides educational materials, cultural events, and snacks for the children, with support from Kluber Lubrication, Bangalore.

Adivasi Susthira Abhivrudhi Yojane Programme
The Adivasi Susthira Abhivrudhi Yojane, a community-based project funded by Azim Premji Philanthropic Initiatives (APPI), Bangalore, is focused on the full implementation of the Forest Rights Act-2006 in 20 Hadis. The project, driven by the Nisarga Foundation, aims to secure both individual and community rights for tribal communities, promoting sustainability with natural resources. Key activities include raising awareness about Government facilities and schemes, providing legal training, encouraging sustainable harvesting practices, facilitating regular functioning of Grama Sabha and Forest Rights committees, conducting capacity-building for Grama Sabha, establishing Taluk Grama Sabha Vedike, and engaging in follow-up meetings with SDLC and DLC committees to obtain IFR and CFR.

Programme to Address Malnutrition in Tribal Children
In 2014, Nisarga Foundation initiated the Spirulina Supplement Nutrition Programme, supported by Mission Inde, France, to combat malnutrition within tribal communities. Through this programme, the organisation supplements the home diets of the targeted population with Spirulina nutritional capsules. This intervention aims to enhance the growth of malnourished children and provide essential nutrients to pregnant women and lactating mothers. The SIRULINA programme, guided and monitored by Dr. Gerry Pais from Mysore, has garnered significant success over the last seven years and received a commendation from CFTRI (The Central Government Food and Research Institute), Mysore.
