United Way of Baroda (UWB) is proud of its affiliation to the prestigious United Way Worldwide, which is a leadership and support organisation for the Read more network of nearly 1,800 community-based United Ways in 46 countries and territories. Professional leaders and local volunteers lead United Ways around the world. The United Way model is to convene local leaders to identify needs and create strategies that allow individuals and families to experience economic and human success through educational achievement, income stability, and healthy lives. UWB is the first United Way established in India in 1986 followed by other 6 National chapters – Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai. Our organisation have been raising funds through Garba-Mahotsav world renowned and most significant participation of citizens for nine days and leading to improving the quality of life of the communities around Gujarat for the last 32 years. In the previous two years, UWB has made judicious efforts towards expanding its projects and programs for making a significant impact in our communities. In the last two years, we have initiated new projects to promote safe motherhood in 6000+ mothers through the distribution of Shishu-kits and awareness programs in Government hospitals. We have screened around 25,000 children for eye ailments towards ensuring better education through improved vision. We have extended school educational support to 1299 wards of single parents in addition to our existing project wherein we were supporting the education of 545 orphans and destitute. In educational sector also we have come up with new projects wherein we are supporting the students who fear Science and Mathematics. Vigyan Express and Mini Science Laboratory are providing hands-on experience on various experiments and formulas to enhance the understanding of STEM amongst 5000+ children of Government schools. We have also developed 8 Green schools that conserve natural resources, saves money and provides a safe environment for students. In addition to this, we are also sensitising 3000+ children of 20 schools on wetland conservation. Every year the organisation’s sincere efforts impact 1,00,000+ lives. We support 50+ partner NGOs in the city for impacting communities through sustainable projects in the sectors of health, education, and livelihood.

Vishnubhai Amin Orphan & Destitute and Single Parents Project
StateSince these years ultimately mould their future, children require the greatest attention throughout this time. From 2006 till the present, United Way of Baroda has been providing annual help to over 15227 Vadodara district orphan, destitute, and single-parent children through the Vishnubhai Amin Orphan and Destitute project and Community Impact Programme. Every beneficiary receives an educational kit from us, and we also engage in year-round programming with these at-risk kids, including educational tours, festival celebrations, and other events that promote the kids' holistic growth.
As part of the project, United Way of Baroda offers school bags, notebooks, lunch boxes, water bottles, pens, pencils, compass boxes, glue, and other stationery supplies in customised educational kits based on the student's grades (20 Items).

Fusion Study Foundation Program
More than 1200 students who participated in the Fusion Study Foundation Programme, which was established in 2005, successfully graduated or received postgraduate degrees from esteemed educational institutions over its 18-year implementation. Deserving and hardworking students from low-income families who want to pursue careers in engineering, pure sciences, applied sciences, medical science, business administration, accounting, and other fields of study can apply for interest-free loans through this programme.
