  • Women Empowerment Programme

    The initiative 'Mahila Swabhiman' aimed to empower vulnerable adolescent girls from socially excluded groups in Motichak by providing sewing and tailoring training. The focus was on enhancing their technical skills for employability in the tailoring industry or setting up their shops. The course emphasized stitching operations, pattern making, and quality awareness. Through this training, 105 adolescent girls, previously with limited opportunities, now generate a monthly income of Rs. 1500-2000 by working in tailoring, significantly improving their families' financial conditions. The project also educated them on hygiene, health, and disease prevention. Several girls have started their own tailoring businesses, substantially elevating their family's economic status, showcasing the success of the project in fostering self-sufficiency among these adolescents.

  • Education Programme

    The initiative 'Essential Education' by SKVS focuses on implementing the Right to Education Act in Kushinagar District, aiming to provide quality education and integrate school dropouts (06-14 years) into formal education. Advocacy efforts engage various stakeholders like Dalit communities, SMCs, PRIs, teachers, and CSOs to improve educational standards for marginalized children. Strategies involve capacity building, community-based monitoring, systemic interventions with teachers, and extensive networking to enroll and support dropout children, educate stakeholders on RTEA, and strengthen the education system. Achievements include fostering positive teacher-parent relations, establishing Baal Manch groups to engage children and identify dropouts, forming Mahila Sangathans to empower women and raise awareness about RTEA and the Child Rights Act, and successfully enrolling 860 dropout children, highlighting SKVS's impactful efforts in education.

  • Programme to Curb Japanese Encephalitis

    The Samudaik Kalyan Evam Vikas Sansthan aims to combat Japanese Encephalitis (JE) and Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES) in Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh. The activities include establishing a Project Management Cell, conducting surveys, training staff and community members, organising social drives, sensitizing local bodies, facilitating health initiatives, and promoting education among marginalized groups.
