Iteach Schools

All English medium government schools in Pune go only up to Grade VII. The students who attend these government schools are from the poorest household Read mores in the city. They cannot afford the fees of private schools and hence forced to drop out after Grade VII. This leaves them with almost no chance of making it to college or building a career. iTeach Schools was started in April 2015 to provide high quality, free secondary education (Grade VIII – X) to these government school students. In five years, we have established six schools across Pune, in a PPP model - where the government provides the infrastructure, funding partners provide funds, and iTeach manages the operations. So far, iTeach has produced consistently strong results with nearly 100% students clearing Grade X, and 90% of them making it to junior colleges across the city. iTeach currently serves 1100 students and 550 alumni and is scaling to two more schools next year. iTeach’s vision is to level the playing field for our most disadvantaged students and ensure that every student from a government school makes it to and through college, and lifts their family out of poverty.

iTeach's vision is to create a community of transformational schools and an exceptional College to Career program for the most under-resourced children.

iTeach has expanded from 1 school in 2015 to 12 schools across 2 cities, with over 300 staff members and 3,000 alumni.
