Kutch Mahila Vikas Sangathan was founded in 1989 with the objective of organizing rural women of Kutch to facilitate their empowerment. Since incepti Read moreon, the aim of KMVS has been the empowerment of rural women, and foster their leadership economic, political, social and cultural through conscious - raising, organization and their mobilization into local collectives, capable of independently addressing gender inequities in their region.

KMVS operates through various initiatives including the Safe District Programme, Hello Sakhi Helpline, paralegal cadres, safety centers, and programs focusing on adolescents, gender-equitable education, and local governance institutions.

KMVS has established 5 safety centers and 2 sub-centers in 5 blocks, formed a core paralegal cadre of 60 and a community-level paralegal cadre of 450 women, and registered more than 2307 cases through the Hello Sakhi Helpline in the last year, providing crucial assistance to survivors of violence.
