Help for Children in Need Foundation (HCNF) is a 4-year-old charity which works towards protecting underprivileged children and empowering them to lea Read mored a better life. Through the years the charity has reached out to over 17,000 children and changed their lives for the better. HCNF works across multiple issues that affect children including education, health, nutrition, protection, play and disaster relief to mention a few. In the recent times the charity has been actively working to distribute over 5,000 food material kits to children and families in need.

HCNF implements various projects across India to support its objectives. In Delhi, projects such as 'Supporting Children and Youth in Delhi' and 'Enhancing Children's Education and Life Perspectives' aim to improve educational outcomes and life skills for children in resettlement colonies. Programs

  • Samvaad Project

    District

    Implemented directly by HCNF, this new initiative of the reporting year operates in close collaboration with the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) and Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) of Pune district. Its primary objective is to offer counseling and other forms of assistance to children in need of care and support, as well as those in conflict with the law. Two counselors, appointed by HCNF, consistently provide support to these children. Additionally, the project has established a dedicated space for counseling and various activities at the CWC center in Yerwada, Pune. Commencing in January 2023, this initiative remains ongoing and has already impacted the lives of 91 children. CWC members heavily rely on the support provided by these counselors for the overall well-being of the children.

Since its inception, HCNF has expanded its reach to multiple states, implementing projects that have positively impacted thousands of children. Their collaborations with local organizations and communities have led to the successful execution of programs in education, health, and environmental sustainability. Notably, their efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic included initiating support classes to prevent learning loss during prolonged school closures.
