Navajeevana Grameena Abhivriddhi Samsthe (NGAS) was established in 2001 and was registered under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act 1860 for th Read moree empowerment of the marginalized community and the differently-abled. Its registration No.: SOR/88/2001-02 and has 80G/12A/ PAN CARD. NGAS is also registered under the Ministry of Home Affairs under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FRCA). Its Registration Number is 094610039 and has validity up to 1st November 2021. NGAS registered under NGO Darpan. Unique Id: KA/2019/0239382. The vision of the organization is to see that there is humane, harmony in the community where its people live with dignity, fulfill basic amenities, well-informed citizens, and where there is an equal opportunity, social justice prevails and free from exploitation whatsoever. The mission is to organize, skill-building, zero drop-outs among children, empower the marginalized communities and facilitate them to come to the mainstream, participate equally, and claim their rights. NGAS is a Vocational Training Provider that has been recognized by the Government of Karnataka and the Government of India. Trained more than 600 trainees in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and more than 75% of the trainees are profitably employed and few of them set up their micro-enterprises with support from the Banks and financial institutions. More than 900 women are trained in Garments. More than 60% of them profitably employed and few of them started their own garments unit and started employing other women in the area. More than 1200 women are trained in beautician courses. More than 80% of them have started their units and earning. 50 Youths are trained in Driving with heavy and light vehicles and they have got the license. As a result, more than 75% got employed as a driver in KSRTC and few of them purchased their vehicle with support from banks and financial institutions. They are standing on their own feet. The founder of the organization is Mr. Ashok Bhati. He represents the Lambani community and has more than two decades of experience working with various grass-root level NGOs/ Organizations. There are 9 GB Members on the board. Of that 3 are women. Twice a year Board meeting held in the organization. Most of the board members from the marginalized community only. As per the High Power Committee (appointed by the Government of Karnataka. It is also known as Nanjundappa Committee) Report states that the Lingsugur Taluk, Raichur District is one of the most backward Taluks in the District. All development indicators shows dismal picture. Raichur District is always first from the bottom. Hence NGAS want to work for the development of the marginalized people.
