It has the DARPAN Number TN/2018/0183533     4.Vision & Mission of this organization  Vision:      TAPWA envisions a society where marginalized rural poor and vulnerable groups such as women and children are enabled and empowered to live in an egalitarian social order   Mission:      Shelter, care and protection of most backward and downtrodden  Communities. Daycare programme for the children from 6 months to 5 years old Providing protection, care and education for the orphaned children. Empowerment of the most backward and downtrodden women through organizing them into self helps groups (SHGs) and linking them with the mainstream. Creating job opportunities for landless agricultural labourers and unemployed youth through skill training programmes. Education to the poor, child labour and dropout school children in difficult circumstances. Developing sustainable agriculture for the betterment of agriculturist and for food      security. 5.Background information about the organization TamilNadu People Welfare Association (TAPWA) is a voluntary organization, started during the year 1988 (on 16th August) as a registered body and it renders its valuable services to the downtrodden people from the year of inception. TAPWA endures serving the marginalized people for the betterment of their entire life by all possible means such as providing education, implementing awareness generation camps, creating and providing employment opportunities etc. It has also conducted health awareness, and Legal awareness camps in its 40 service villages of Nilakottai block of Dindigul district, Tamil Nadu, India. TAPWA has implemented a number of environmental and economic development programmes to safeguard the ecological balance too.  6.Details of the community development activities The organization is involved in the following community development activities: 1. Conducting evening school to poor rural children 2. Intensive campaign on school enrolment in six districts. 3. Activities for Orphans 4. Formation of women self-help groups 5. Arranging seed money and revolving fund to women self-help groups 6. Readymade garments making training to unemployed women 7. Providing training on vermin compost making 8. Construction of new houses to poor households(Widows headed families) 9. Coconut Tree training through coconut development Board 10. Environment Awareness programme to the farmers 11. Conducting Competition to the NFE Students & School students
