Shreeja India is a non-profit CSO working towards engaging, educating, and enriching marginalized girls and young women; empowering them to unlock the Read moreir potentials for their overall development. We view Football as a powerful vehicle for social change and education. We are acting to stop school dropouts, early marriage, trafficking, and violence against women. Our work commenced in 2017 from Madarpur tribal village and later shifted to Rajnagar block, a more accessible location for the community. Currently, the ‘ Beyond Football’ Program is running with 250+ Santhal girls (7-18 years) from 17 backward villages in Birbhum. The community is deprived of education, nutrition, health, and socio-economic opportunities. Our mission is to empower girls and women through education and sports, enabling them to realize their full potentials to build a gender-equitable society. Our vision is to create a gender-equitable society in which every woman gets equitable and fair opportunities to pursue and live her dreams.

Shreeja India adopts a holistic method in delivering rigorous football coaching alongside supplementary educational activities for tribal girls aged 10 to 18, aiming to involve, educate, and empower them.
Through consistent football training and physical exercises, their physical growth is fostered while simultaneously nurturing their social connections. The strong camaraderie forged during training equips the girls to confront societal issues such as child marriage, abuse, trafficking, and violence against women united as a cohesive social force.
