The focus is on nurturing confidence, particularly among vulnerable and marginalized groups, and imparting life skills to effectively navigate change. The outreach initiatives are tailored to foster community and individual well-being, boost confidence, and facilitate a stress-free lifestyle. Aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030, the mission is to establish self-sustaining communities at a glocal (global and local) level. The efforts are centered around six specific Sustainable Development Goals for 2030: • Good Health & Well-being (SDG #3) • Gender Equality (SDG #5) • Reduced Inequality (SDG #10) • Sustainable Cities & Communities (SDG #11) • Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions (SDG #16) • Partnerships for the Goals (SDG #17) These goals serve as the foundation for all our endeavours. It achieves this through the utilization of community experience, a dedicated network of volunteers, and the expertise of its partners. The founders bring decades of corporate experience, complemented by years spent working in the social and educational sectors.

  • Listening Post

    Listening Post is a dedicated space where callers are free to discuss any thoughts on their mind, and the volunteers will attentively listen—offering empathy without judgment.
    It is a secure, non-judgmental environment where conversations remain confidential, fostering a sense of calm, self-reflection, and clarity. Through active listening, Listening Post facilitates a process where you can hear your own thoughts, gain insights, and arrive at your own solutions.

  • Compassion support for Corporates

    Listening Post provides a secure environment for your employees—a space where individuals can freely discuss any concerns they may have. The organisation believes in the therapeutic nature of conversation. By expressing feelings and worries to trained Listening Post volunteers, the organisation aims for the employees to experience a sense of peace, gain fresh perspectives, and progress toward resolutions.
    The approach involves empathetic listening through an active listening process. This enables individuals to clarify their thoughts and make informed decisions. Content and satisfied employees tend to work more efficiently, perform better, and accomplish more.

  • Gender sensitization (POSH)

    The organisation offers comprehensive Gender and POSH training programmes for corporate entities. The POSH training modules incorporate an additional focus on understanding gender-related behavioural, attitudinal, and cultural nuances specific to our country and society, alongside covering compliance issues.

  • Life Skills in Curriculum

    SHB Social Foundation collaborates extensively with educational institutions to identify essential life skills and design targeted interventions, focusing on:
    • Developing life skill modules tailored for primary, middle, and high school students, delivered through training teachers or directly to students.
    • Offering Stress Management and Managing Change programs for both students and teachers.
    • Designing modules to address the specific training needs of teachers.
    • Conducting sessions for parents on topics such as connecting with teenagers, managing gadget addiction, and providing support during crucial Board Years.

  • Smartphone Assistance for Senior Citizens and all

    SHB Social Foundation is delighted to provide smartphone and technology assistance tailored for senior citizens, empowering them to fully utilize their smartphones. The enthusiastic and tech-savvy volunteers are ready to assist seniors in mastering the fundamentals of smartphones and navigating other smart devices through their phones.

  • Support with a Geriatric doctor

    Seniors frequently grapple with health concerns that cut across various medical specializations. Unfortunately, many specialists lack a comprehensive understanding of geriatrics and issues unique to the elderly, leading to prescriptions that may not consider the holistic needs of the individual.
    The services include specialized geriatric support, providing a nuanced understanding of the unique health challenges faced by seniors. Additionally, it offers holistic medical counselling, guiding seniors and their caregivers on medication management, home care, and addressing the broader aspects of their well-being. This advice aims to enhance the quality of life for seniors and offers valuable support in navigating both medical and caregiving aspects.

  • Ease and Support (Palliative Care/Medicine)

    Delivering healthcare for the elderly frequently entails navigating intricate medical and ethical decisions. This involves a careful evaluation of patients' multiple co-morbid conditions, considerations of their quality of life, and respect for their expressed treatment preferences.
    Geriatric palliative care, a specialized branch within palliative care, aims to assist patients in living and concluding life with dignity and comfort. It also provides valuable support to family members in managing patients more effectively.
