Programs

  • Awareness Program

This program's goals are to lessen the stigma associated with suicide, advance mental health awareness, and encourage well-being. By teaching people about emotional awareness and promoting help-seeking behaviours, these workshops can enhance the nonjudgmental approach towards individuals experiencing emotional distress.

The seminars on mental health awareness raise people's awareness of coping strategies, comprehending discomfort, healing, and personal development. These thirty to sixty-minute activity-based psycho-education programs are available to adults in communities, colleges, housing societies, NGOs, and other community settings, as well as to teenagers in schools and communities. The Online and Offline sessions are led by our professional volunteers and cater to the specific requirements of the group.

  • Distress Helpline Program

The Distress Helpline Programme (DHP), run by Connecting Trust, is a valuable tool for those who are experiencing emotional distress to talk about it. The confidential Suicide Prevention Hotline service provided by the Distress Helpline programme keeps the information shared by its callers inside the company. The volunteers that staff the helpline are trained in Mindful Based Active Listening and provide a space that is free from judgement and advice for each one of our callers. We don't provide therapy services. Every day of the week, from 10 am to 8 pm, the helpline is open.

Many find that writing is their most effective form of self-expression or that it is simpler to communicate with us when they don't have a private space to speak. To assist these individuals, we also provide an email service and send emotional support via mail using the MBAL technique.
