Green Dot Trust is a non-profit voluntary organization (NGO) registered under Indian Trust Act in the year 2008, bearing registration No.507/2008- Read more09 based in Mysuru, Karnataka . Trust has formally started its activities from the beginning of 2014. Trust has 12AA and 80G exemption from Income Tax Department. Trust providing services in the area of Women Empowerment, Homeless persons with mental illness, providing primary health care services by managing Primary Health Centre under Public Private Partnership with Government of Karnataka, geriatric services, day care facility for mentally ill persons and upliftment of poor rural and tribal communities. Currently Trust working in Mysore and Kodagu Districts with intensive focus on rural health, education, environment, women empowerment and agriculture development, etc. besides, various community development activities. Green Dot Trust is working for the rehabilitation of the homeless mentally ill persons aptly called ‘Manasadhama – Home for the Homeless Mentally ill’ at Chikkalli, Bhugathagalli Road, Off T. Narasipura road, Mysore in collaboration with Karuna Trust, Mysore. It has a capacity to provide food and shelter for 25 homeless mentally ill persons. So far trust has rescued 70 homeless persons from streets of Mysore city and through referrals from various other organizations and successfully reintegrated 49 patients with their original families across India.
