Chaitanya Rural Development and Education Society is a Rural based NGO. The Chaitanya is formed by the youth group of Talur village, Sandur Taluk, Bel Read morelary District, in the year 2000. Then the Society is registered under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act 1960 on 15-02-2001. Vide its registration Number 255/2000-01.

From 1995 to 2014, the organization implemented a project to support children aged 9-14 years, withdrawing them from child labor and enrolling them in NCLP (National Child Labour Project) Special Training Centres.

We strive to raise awareness about various social injustices and exploitative practices. Additionally, we aim to enhance the quality of education and provide rescue and rehabilitation services to those who have been victimized or exploited, including children. Through education on rights-based approaches and fostering collective action, we empower individuals and communities to advocate for change and create a better future for all.

Milestones & Track Record

The organization implemented the National Child Labour Project (NCLP) Scheme from 1995 to 2014, providing essential services including bridge education, vocational training, mid-day meals, stipends, and health care to children withdrawn from child labor.
