Actively Working to Apprise Responsibilities, Educate & Nurture Everyone towards safety & Security is an NGO based in The Nilgiris and soon Read more expanding its horizons in major cities all over India. Incorporated in June 2016, AWARENESS is actively working in the areas of Education, Human Welfare, Sanitation, Earth Rejuvenation and Road Safety. Founded by our visionary L Krishnan, who served our nation in the Army, sustained major injuries during the Indo-Pak war, stepped out of the Army and pursued Law, became an advocate, worked for senior citizens welfare in Mumbai through his NGO and gave free consultancies. He dedicated himself to serve society for its well-being. The ultimate aim of AWARENESS is Societal Development through self-sufficiency of all the basic requirements of the society. AWARENESS comprises professionals from various walks of life that includes Social workers, IT professionals, Educators, Students as well as volunteers who are working with the sole aim to fulfil the NGO’s vision. Highlights of AWARENESS: Constructed 650 Toilets under Swach Bharat Mission covering 46 villages in The Nilgiris. Is working on self-hygiene programs for govt. school children in the urban and rural areas.  Associated with Indian Oil and Rotary on seed ball program.  Planted 1500 trees. Currently, working with the  Coimbatore District Administration for the COVID 19 Relief  measures and have already taken care of 10 homes benefitting around 700 differently-abled and children. Mission:   To enhance the quality of life for all. We lead positive social change and deliver value to the communities through information, advocacy and service. Vision:   We envision a world where all people – even in the most remote areas of the country– hold the power to create an opportunity for themselves and others.
