The Mijwan Welfare Society (MWS) operates several educational and vocational programs in Mijwan, including a girls' inter-college, a computer centre, Read moreand a sewing and embroidery centre. These initiatives aim to bridge the gap in education and skills training, especially for girls, in a village where socio-economic inequalities persist despite some development. Inspired by the late poet Kaifi Azmi's vision, MWS focuses on empowering rural communities through education, healthcare, training, and economic opportunities. MWS's objectives include promoting employment, self-reliance, and sustainable development. Through education, healthcare, and vocational training, it strives to empower villagers, especially women and girls, and enhance their socio-economic status. Additionally, MWS supports village-based small-scale industries and provides marketing assistance to promote self-employment. By sponsoring various initiatives like computer training, schools, and women's self-help groups, MWS aims to uplift rural families and create just, equitable, and sustainable communities across rural India.

Sustainable Education Programme
The Mijwan Welfare Society facilitates sustainable education, notably through the Shri Kaifi Azmi Girls Inter College, providing quality education to disadvantaged girls. Amidst the challenges posed by COVID-19, it employs the RNSF model, leveraging online platforms and handwritten notes to ensure continuous learning. Additionally, the organization promotes quality education through initiatives like establishing school libraries and facilitating cultural exchanges between female students, fostering lifelong friendships, advancing gender equality, and promoting inclusivity and tolerance in society.

Sustainable Livelihood Programme
Mijwan Welfare Society operates the Mijwan Livelihood Center for Women, empowering rural women in Mijwan village, Uttar Pradesh, through Chikankari embroidery. Collaborating with designers and brands, these women earn an average of 3500 INR monthly under the "Made in Mijwan" brand. Starting with one woman in 1993, the centre now accommodates 350 women, fostering a peer-based value chain for skill development and financial management. Led by Sanyogita Prajapati, the program aims to create rural women entrepreneurs, boosting household income and minimizing migration. Amidst COVID-19, the centre produces masks, contributing to community welfare and economic stability.
