Asthma Readiness Training (ART) is a school-based initiative of Lung Care Foundation designed to address the growing burden of air pollution-induced asthma among children. The programme combines awareness, capacity building, and clinical screening to improve early detection and management of asthma in schools. Through teacher training workshops, digital learning modules, student health assessments, and the implementation of school-specific Asthma Management Guidelines, ART helps create asthma-ready schools that are better equipped to identify symptoms, respond to emergencies, and support children's respiratory health. By strengthening knowledge and preparedness among educators, students, and caregivers, the programme aims to reduce undiagnosed asthma and improve health outcomes for children living in polluted environments.

Doctors for Clean Air and Climate Action (DFCA) is an initiative of Lung Care Foundation and is a nationwide network of health professionals committed to addressing air pollution and climate change through evidence-based advocacy, public education, and health-centred policy engagement. The initiative is grounded in the principle that those entrusted with safeguarding health must also speak out against the environmental determinants of disease, particularly air pollution, which is responsible for over 2 million premature deaths annually in India.

DFCA brings together over 400 doctors and health professionals, supported by 21 national medical associations, and is actively engaged across 10 states through a growing network of nearly 20 City Forums for Clean Air. Through this platform, DFCA works to amplify the voices of health professionals in public discourse, strengthen the use of health evidence in policy and planning, and support locally grounded action on clean air and climate resilience.
