Since its inception in 2013, Dalai Lama Foundation has been active in various domains under social and development works be it tribal development, ru Read moreral development, education, environment, sanitation, and consumer awareness and so on. The organization has vast experience and expertise in handling projects across these domains/themes at the local level. The foundation has its area of operation in Nandurbar district, an aspirational district selected by NITI Aayog due to being a backward region. Over a period of time, with winning grants from Govt. of Maharashtra, Dalai Lama Foundation has been successful in making a difference in the lives of surrounding marginalized communities comprising of mostly tribals. The strong and dedicated team of volunteers has been pillars of great support making the foundation to address several issues. With grant support from Govt. of Maharashtra, cooked food is being served at a large scale amongst the poor, migrant labourers, daily wage labourers, COVID affected families (e.g. loss of bread-winner) and; while on the other hand, linkages of needy people with government machinery and other institutions are also being facilitated by the organization across 6 blocks of Nandurbar district.
