Programs

  • Supporting Digital Education

In contemporary India, the prominence of computers and technology elevates the essential skill set required for workforce competitiveness. Such proficiency has become a prerequisite for staying competitive in the modern job market. TBCF has installed digital classrooms in over 20 schools.
    Objective
    • Narrow the digital divide and cultivate digital citizenship.
    • Empower children by enhancing their digital literacy.
    • Stimulate interest in learning.
    • Enhance life skills.
    • Augment employment prospects.

  • Medical support

Numerous children grappling with cancer, congenital heart defects, and other severe medical conditions remain untreated, primarily due to inadequate treatment infrastructure or financial constraints.
TBCF collaborates with multiple hospitals, actively engaging in reaching out to children in need of urgent medical care.

  • Menstrual hygiene

Insufficient knowledge about menstrual hygiene continues to pose a persistent challenge for adolescent girls in our supposedly advanced society. The persistence of taboos and widespread ignorance surrounding menstruation contributes to this issue. Insufficient awareness about menstrual health leads to severe health complications and is identified as a significant contributor to cervical cancer in later stages.
This Menstrual Hygiene promotion program integrates health education for adolescent girls, ensuring a consistent supply of sanitary napkins, and facilitates sanitation improvements like access to water and toilets in schools and communities, coordinating with other programs.
Through this initiative, TBCF has positively impacted 3884 adolescent girls and young women.

  • Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)

Aligned with the nationwide Swachh Bharat Abhiyan campaign, TBCF actively champions similar initiatives, particularly focusing on schools where children lack access to clean and hygienic toilets, urinals, and wash basins.
In addition to constructing toilets and offering various sanitation amenities, The Baby Care Foundation team educates beneficiaries on adopting and maintaining good and optimal hygiene practices.

  • Skill Development Program

    State

There exists a crucial necessity to raise awareness and impart financial literacy among women, equipping them with the knowledge of profit and loss management. This knowledge proves instrumental in maintaining their families. Through targeted training activities, women's roles within their families and communities will be significantly enhanced.
Tailoring Training stands as a cornerstone in cultivating robust social and economic foundations within organized communities. This initiative not only leads to stronger service provisions but also fosters the establishment of comprehensive community organizations, crucial for the development of a fair and just society. The anticipated impact is the social upliftment of 120 females. This intervention is poised to create avenues for direct employment or self-employment for these women.
The Baby Care Foundation (TBCF) endeavours to address this need by offering Tailoring Training to women, advocating not just for gender equality but also for the

  • Encouraging Public Breastfeeding

    District

It is essential for all women and their children to have the freedom to breastfeed in public spaces, unrestricted by time or location. The act of breastfeeding offers remarkable health benefits for both mothers and their children. Allowing babies to feed as they desire and stop when they are full aids in maintaining this natural ability.
Unfortunately, breastfeeding in public spaces and transit areas often faces societal stigma and disapproval.
In an effort to support breastfeeding mothers, TBCF has installed nine Baby Feeding Units within Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) hospitals. These units provide a private and comfortable space for mothers to breastfeed their infants without any hindrance or discomfort.

  • Solar Energy's Environmental Impact

Solar energy, as a renewable power source, plays a crucial role in curbing greenhouse gas emissions, thereby aiding in the fight against climate change. TBCF has undertaken initiatives to install solar streetlights in Dahayle Village, Tehsil - Dhanau, District Palghar, Maharashtra. TBCF has successfully installed solar fans and home lighting systems in Zilla Parishad School, Dahayle, and Ashram Shala, Talwade, both situated in District Palghar, Maharashtra.
