The Punahchethana Foundation, also known as PCF, operates as a beacon of care for the elderly, officially registered as a charitable trust under the I Read morendian Trusts Act. Its core mission revolves around offering compassionate assistance to the elderly, children, and women, regardless of their caste, creed, or financial status. PCF extends both permanent and temporary shelter to seniors in need of familial care and provides shelter to women facing adversities. Emphasizing the importance of familial bonds, PCF also educates children and empowers women through financial independence training. As a non-profit and non-commercial entity, PCF creates a nurturing environment for individuals separated from their families. Supported by a dedicated team of volunteers and professionals from diverse backgrounds, PCF ensures the well-being and dignity of the elderly. Its services encompass short or long-term stay options in a homely setting, caregiver support for the elderly, women's empowerment programmes, recreational and spiritual activities, and regular medical check-ups. The overarching goal of Punahchethana is to facilitate the reunion of elders with their families whenever feasible and provide lifelong care for those who cannot be reintegrated due to various circumstances.

PCF extends scholarships to economically disadvantaged students, including children of housemaids and taxi drivers. It organises eye testing sessions for government school students and distributes spectacles as needed. To enhance educational opportunities, free summer vacation classes are offered to government school children, focusing on improving spoken English and handwriting skills. Through these initiatives, PCF aims to support underprivileged students, promote academic success, and enhance overall educational development in the community.
