Pengal Samooga Nala Trust is a Registered Charitable Trust based out of Tiruvallur , running an Orphanage ‘POOVANAM’ Home for deprived and destitute Read more children which provides shelter, education, medical aid and clothing, nurturing them in the home-like environment. It also extended the support for needy, neglected, and homeless elderly women. The children are prepared at Home for admissions to regular Government Schools and are provided with ample opportunities to enhance their intellectual capacity with the help of electronic media. Children of Poovanam are provided with wholesome food and Periodic Health check-up. The home ensures that at regular intervals the children are taken for educational tours to different parts of the State. Poovanam (Home for needy and deprived children) by taking care of just three children. It is now supporting more than thirty in various ways. Poovanam (Home for needy, neglected & homeless elderly women) is being a home for 20 elderly women at present. It ensures to provide a home-like environment for neglected elderly women, to give proper medical facilities, and to remain a place for prayer, yoga, meditation, recreation, library, and other needs. Ensuring that they have healthy organic home food at every meal of the day.
