This project aims to educate the less fortunate children in Kolkata's many communities, thereby bringing about a social and economic revolution. In September 2004, Ek Prayaas started with a group of 12 children taught by two adults, and has since grown to house the entire primary section from Lower Nursery to Class 5, achieving full attendance of learners from underprivileged homes.
